Nestled in the heart of the Madikeri, coorg, Hotel Terra Hillscape enjoys full occupancy in peak tourist months. But as soon as the ski season slows or the summer crowds fade, the hotel faced a familiar issue: plummeting bookings and over-reliance on costly Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
“Our off-season occupancy hovered around 30-40% and nearly all of those bookings came through OTAs,” says the hotel manager. “We were paying high commissions and had very little control over our brand or guest experience from the first interaction.”
